Club Calendar of events.
Over the year we have numerous talks, exhibitions, trips, visits and other activities.
All upcoming talks start at 7.30pm and are open to Non-members but please contact us beforehand to let us know you are coming as we have limited space.

- February 2nd : Mineral Appreciation. Introducing silica minerals and the Club Collection.
- February 16th: Westering Home: Scottish Islands Adventure. Ian Marshall.
- March 22nd. Members’ Slide Night. Organised by Arthur Nicholson.
Please add your name to the list on the Club notice board if you are interested in showing slides. Transparencies of digital media can be shown, although digital will save time. Any subject welcome. Time for each person should be limited to 20mins. - April 26th. Heddle Night. (Talk by Prof. Godfrey Fitton, University of Edinburgh)
Talks will start at 7:30, please arrive a little bit before so that we can start on time.
Agate Hunting Excursions are planned for the following dates:
- Sunday 5th February
- Sunday 19th February
- Sunday 4th March
- Sunday 25th March
Those attending should meet in Market Street (below the Bank of Scotland building on the mound) at 9.30am on the morning of the excursion. Bring suitable clothing, footwear and a packed lunch.
Commitee Meetings: The next committee meeting is 23rd February - 7:15pm
SMLC AT HOME 2012 - will take place on the 6th and 7th October from 2pm - 5pm.
the Scottish Mineral and Lapidary Club open day. There will be a display of club members’ work, minerals and rocks for sale, a raffle and tea and coffee.
